Class Rules

No use of cell phones allowed during class.  (Emergencies will be judged on a case to case basis. Only mothers and fathers are classified as emergencies and rides home are not emergencies.  I will trust that it is an emergency, please do not abuse my trust. If I see you using a cell phone I will ask you to give it to me, if you refuse this, you will be sent to the office.  If you refuse to leave, security will be called to remove you. Each successive refusal will lead to more harsh sanctions.  I hate doing this, so please do not put me in this position.

No EATING in class (there are mice in the building and we do not want to feed them).  If eating in class, you will be asked stop.  The second time you will be asked to leave.

No sleeping.  Your instructor is not allowed to sleep in class, neither are you.

Respect will be shown to everyone in class.

Please be in your seat and ready to go when the bell rings

All students will be required to sit in their assigned seat.  If you are not in your assigned seat, you will be marked absent.

Unless you are absent, you will not be allowed to make up an assignments from the week if you did not do the assignment.  This means if you mess around during class, you will get a zero for the assignment.  No exceptions!

Any work in violation of the Everett High School Honesty Policy will result in failure for that assignment (NO CHEATING).

Interfering with another student’s right to learn, well-being, or the instructor’s teaching will not be allowed.

Grades will be based on:

  • classwork,
  • students will be required to do one special project and present it to the class.  Multimedia projects are encouraged,
  • tests/quizzes,
  • cooperation,
  • respectful behavior towards everyone in the class,
  • following class rules.

Please bring a notebook to class everyday.  The instructor will have a limited number of notebooks for students who need them and cannot afford to buy them.  Once these are gone, you are on your own.  I will, however, have pencils and paper for your use daily.
